Baseball Fundraising Plan
As in years past, ETHS baseball will sponsor one program-wide fundraising activity to close the funding gap not covered by the school budget and player fees. Unlike in years past, the fundraising program for this year will be via an online fundraising platform, which will not include a social gathering (respecting all COVID gathering restrictions), and will extend the reach beyond the Evanston community.
ETHS has partnered with Snap!Raise for all online fundraising. Families may be familiar with this platform through participation in other ETHS programs, or through invitations to support other activities outside of ETHS. Other programs at ETHS that have used the Snap!Raise platform have seen great success in reaching their fundraising goals.
Because of its online nature, Snap!Raise has access to lots of data about how best to reach fundraising goals. Among the best practices for a successful Snap!Raise effort are:
The fundraising campaign will run for 28 days.
Each player will create a Snap!Raise profile, which will be linked to the ETHS baseball campaign.
Each participating player will be asked to enter at least 20 email addresses of their top personal supporters who might consider making a donation to ETHS baseball (not to include ETHS teachers or staff); this list can include parents, grandparents, adult siblings, uncles, aunts, other relatives, friends, friends’ parents, etc. Players may need parent assistance in gathering email addresses.
The more players who reach the 20-email threshold, the more successful the overall fundraising effort will be.
Note that emails entered will only be used for purposes of ETHS baseball fundraising, and will not be re-used or sold for any marketing purposes.
